Nina Lin was born in Hunan, China and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from National Taiwan University with a bachelor degree and received her master degree also in Librarianship from University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, USA. She started studying Chinese impressionistic style brush painting under Zhi-Lin Dong (The Shanghai School of Painting) in 1998 and later under Professor Johnson Su-Sing Chow (The Wu School of Painting, SuZhou) since 2000. Her works range from flowers, birds, to landscapes. She has studied Chinese calligraphy under Han-Chang Tsao (The Han Lin School of Calligraphy) since 2003. She is a member of Washington Overseas Chinese artists Association, The Chinese Canadian Artists Foundation in Vancouver, Blue Cloud Artists Association. She has participated in numerous joint exhibitions both in British Columbia, Canada and the greater Seattle area, Washington, USA since 2003.
