1934年生于河南省。1954年从北京财经专科学校毕业之后，一直在学校任教，1989年4月从北京二中退休之后，虽然自小酷爱艺术，但工作繁忙未能专心从事艺术创作，退休之后时间充裕，一直从事所喜爱的书画艺术至今。

Ms. Liu was born in Beijing, China in 1934. She graduated from The Financial College of Beijing in 1954 and then became a teacher. After retirement in 1989, she started learning calligraphy which she continued to practise after immigrating to Canada in 1998.
