Yue-Chip
Ho was born in Canton, China in 1938 and moved with his parents to Hong
Kong in 1948. He studied at the National Taiwan Normal University where he
received his Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in 1962. At the University, he
studied both traditional
Chinese
and Western methods of painting. With his family, Yue-Chip immigrated to
Canada in 1972. As a result of these experiences, his Chinese paintings
have a strong influence. Yue-Chip describes his landscape paintings as
"lifelikeness with movement of wind, rain, mist, and snow". His paintings
have no geographic boundaries.
