Oil painter: Katie Cheung
Katie was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada in 1969.
She graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, majoring in painting.
She has been represented by the Heffel Gallery and currently by the Petley Jones
Gallery in Vancouver. She is on the Board of Directors of the CCAFV (1999-2001)
and has participated in numerous solo and joint exhibitions. Katie was interviewed
in the show "All about Art" by Fairchild T. V. In year 2000, she received "Millenium
Prize" from a juried exhibition. She has recently published a book entitled "Apple
from my heart ; Katie Cheung paintings & poems.".
