Synn
Kune Loh is a visionary artist, poet, song writer and a “Concept Design”
consultant. His background in psychology and art has made him a successful
workshop facilitator and business consultant, fostering creativity and
implementing what he calls “Third Alternative” solutions to problems.
He
received his BA in psychology from the University of Bridgeport, Conn.,
U.S.A. He then pursued graduate study in Counselling Psychology at Fairfield
University, Conn., and later, Cultural Psychology at Queen's University in
Kingston, Ontario.
Later, he earned his diploma from the Ontario College of Art
in
Toronto. He has also been awarded a Master's Degree in Therapeutic
Counselling from the International College of Spiritual and Psychic Science
in Montreal, Quebec.
As an
exhibiting artist and concept design consultant, he has given workshops
under the title, “Spiritual Journey in the Modern Day World” in major cities
in Mexico for the past thirteen years. He has also become an explorer of
sacred sites, traveling to twenty pyramids and making seven visits to a
special place called the “Luminerias” in Valle Santiago in Guanajuato
His
latest business consultation was with the five star “Castelo Hotel” in
Veracruz in 2008 where he worked with the architect in design and to create
special distinctions for the project.
For the
past seven years, he has also been an advisor to “Instituto Villa de Cortes
Xalapa,” a prestigious secondary school in Xalapa, Veracruz.
His other
achievements in Mexico include concept design projects for By Power
Design,
an advertising design firm in Mexico City; GIV Savings and Loans in
Guadalajara; Children's Museum in Jalisco, and the Governor of Tamaulipas.
As a
guest speaker, Synn Kune has made presentations at the Savannah Yoga
organization in their ashrams in Paradise island, Bahamas, Val Morin, Quebec
and Grass valley, California. From 2000 – 2005, he spoke at the IIIHS
international conference in Montreal.
In
Vancouver, he was the director of the Canadian College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine, where he learned the principles of TCM and applied them to
interior design. He was also an instructor at the West Coast Counselling
College and Wild Rose College. In 1987, he was invited as a guest instructor
in Szechwan's Fine Arts Academy in Chongqing, China.
Currently, Synn Kune continues to explore his creativity in painting and
writing a fantasy fiction about the Yellow Emperor in prehistoric China. He
is also developing his “Concept Design” career in Vancouver.
